How To Make Payments On Carnival Cruise

carnival cruise payment plan

Active and retired members of the U.S. and Canadian militaries can take advantage of a few extra dollars off their cruise bookings. Also, the older ships sailing from these destinations often have an abundance of affordable cabins. For example, Alaska cruises in May and September will be cheaper than peak-season sailings in July.

Book shoulder-season cruises to save

Caribbean cruises in November before the holidays will be more affordable than the same itineraries during winter or spring break weeks. Once you decide on your cruise and booking online directly with Carnival, you’ll be prompted to select Carnival EasyPay in the “How Would You Like to Pay” section of carnival.com. Holland America's deposit amounts vary widely, requiring passengers to pay anywhere from $350 to $2,900 per person, depending on the sailing.

Should You Use a Financing Service Such as Uplift or Klarna to Pay for Your Cruise?

If you have pre-existing medical conditions, you'll need to sign up for a plan within a few weeks of booking your cruise. If you're in the market for a new card, apply for one before you book your vacation at sea and apply the cost of your cruise toward your minimum spend to earn the signup bonus. Alternatively, travelers can book their cruise and pay using Financing Powered by Uplift. Carnival Cruise Line rewards servicemen and women with a military appreciation gathering on every sailing, a Heroes Tribute Lounge on select ships and military discounts on every cruise. In general, booking cruises early is a good idea to lock in the best rates, as well as the best cabin availability. Carnival Cruise Line's affordable rates and plethora of U.S. departures means it attracts a lot of first-time cruisers.

Paying incrementally, with an initial minimum deposit

When booking your cruise, a deposit is required, which can be paid using any of the accepted payment methods. If you prefer to pay in installments, Carnival offers a Flexible Payment Program, allowing you to split the cost into monthly payments. For more information on payment options and policies, you can visit Carnival Cruise Line’s official website.

Step 8: Cancelling or Modifying Payments

You will be charged a $15 corkage fee if you wish to drink your own wine in an onboard restaurant or bar. Lanyards are ideal, especially for little kids, to keep your cruise card close when your clothes don't have pockets. Carnival offers amazing free food, but its specialty restaurants are also worth the splurge if you're looking for variety or a date night out. The oldest, smallest ships in Carnival's fleet are the 2,130-passenger Carnival Elation and Carnival Paradise. A cruise can be an affordable vacation or a hefty investment, so make sure you make the most of your purchase. You learn so much on that first sailing that you may wish you could go back and get a do-over to maximize your time on board and ashore.

The available payment options include the Flexible Payment Plan, Early Saver Plan, Pay Monthly Plan, and Partial Payment Plan. If you have the funds to pay for the entire amount of your sailing right away, feel free. Plus, as an incentive, some cruise lines extend additional perks or discounts to entice travelers to lock in their plans at the time of booking. For added convenience, setting up a payment plan allows you to spread out your payments over time.

Stop by the pool around breakfast time and you'll be amazed to find a different towel animal on every lounge chair, plus some extra-large critters huddled around the pools and hot tubs. Bring a travel mug to get complimentary tea and coffee from the buffet and take it with you wherever you go on board.

During your Carnival Cruise, you will have the convenience of charging onboard expenses to your account. This allows you to indulge in various activities, dining experiences, and entertainment options without carrying cash or credit cards. By associating a credit card or cash deposit with your onboard account, all your charges will be conveniently settled at the end of your cruise. This feature eliminates the need to carry money and simplifies the payment process onboard. To ensure a comprehensive understanding of Carnival Cruise Payment Policy, it is recommended to visit the official Carnival Cruise website.

It was originally designed for online merchandise shopping but has now expanded to include travel and cruises. Travel agents can also sign up for Carnival EasyPay on Carnival’s agent-only website to process payments on behalf of their clients. For further information and insights, it is beneficial to explore reputable travel websites and forums.

For those who prefer smaller monthly payments, the Pay Monthly Plan is an ideal choice. With this plan, you can break down the cost of your cruise into manageable monthly payments. Typically, these types of cruises last anywhere from overnight to a few days, and do not call on any ports. Cruise lines will often schedule a cruise to nowhere when there is a break between two major itinerary segments. Without the time necessary to sail to a port, the ship will instead idle or anchor close to the shoreline (but far out enough to open the casino and shops!).

Choose a day pass and have fun zipping down the water slides, riding the rapids of the river ride, or lounging in one of the many pools on the premises. Lowest pricing is based on our 3rd party pricing supplier and valid as of April 21st, 2024. Explore all the restaurants on the Perfect Day at CocoCay island and discover all the complimentary dining venues that offers loads of food and drink favorites that will fuel you up in between adventures. Mexico This paradise just south of the U.S. border offers a vibrant culture, world-class beaches, lush green rain forests, and vividly painted architecture that will dazzle your eyes. Bahamas Close to the East Coast of the United States, the Bahamas are known as a refuge from the harsh winters of the north.

Although the cruise ship itineraries include time on land, it is minimal compared to what you have if you opt for the Fast Ferry and arrange your own island accommodations. There’s a day at sea as you cruise back to Fort Lauderdale, with all the delicious choices that a Celebrity cruise offers. Sunbathe by the pool, enjoy a game of croquet at The Lawn Club, and toast the end of a delightful escape with an ice-cold cocktail at the Sunset Bar. Complementing the menu, world-class sommeliers will pair the perfect wine with every dish from Celebrity Cruises’ “most awarded” wine collection at sea. Larger than Grand Plazas on its sister Edge Series ships, the Celebrity Beyond Grand Plaza has an airier atmosphere with more room for intimate seating. The added space allowed designers to move the Martini Bar into the center of the venue as a full, circular bar. On the Resort Deck, guests will enjoy a stunning asymmetrical space with a 25-yard lap pool surrounded by a terraced pool deck and new sunken seating areas designed by Hoppen.

Despite that, we had plenty of space during our four-night cruise with enough drawers, shelving, and closet space. The bathroom was particularly well designed with a very spacious shower - a big improvement from older cruise ship bathrooms. While it feels like comparing apples and oranges, I had positive stateroom experiences on both of these brand-new cruise ships; however, each stateroom had its own pros and cons. It was evident that both cruise lines have focused on designing staterooms that are equally functional as they are aesthetically pleasing onboard their newest cruise ships. Certain areas of this ship are also larger than on other Solstice-class ships. There’s an extra deck of staterooms and suites; larger outdoor decks; and a larger theater.

What to Know About All 16 Ships in the Celebrity Cruises Fleet

Celebrity Edge changed that with the addition of several impressive new features, the most notable being the Magic Carpet. The Magic Carpet is a cantilevered bar that “floats” up and down the edge of the ship, and it’s a must-do experience on Celebrity Edge. The second ship in Celebrity’s Edge Class, Celebrity Apex is another modern, elegantly-designed vessel in the fleet. Celebrity Beyond is the newest ship in operation by Celebrity Cruises, and like her sister ships in the Edge Class, she is one of the cruise line’s most popular vessels. You can book a cruise with Celebrity on their newer ships, which offer a modern and luxurious cruise experience. The ship is an alternative to Celebrity Cruises‘ larger ships, offering more personal attention afforded by its smaller size.

Ship Design

Our Edge® Series - five innovative outward facing ships - put the world front and center visiting more than 50 countries and 120 ports of call. A series of ships where you can wake up in a new place every day and choose from over 32 restaurants, bars, and lounges for a new experience at every meal. The new, two-story Retreat Sundeck will offer more unadulterated outdoor bliss and ways to rejuvenate in the fresh ocean air with secluded cabanas, chic new seating areas, additional water features and the exclusive Retreat Bar. The first ship in Celebrity’s Solstice class currently cruises Alaska and the Pacific Coast in style. Here, you’ll find the lush Lawn Club, the adults-only Persian Garden thermal suite, and the glam Grand Foyer.

How many ships are there in the Celebrity Cruises’ fleet?

Both have many options throughout the ship for both lunch and dinner, although each new ship has unique options that differentiate between the two. Although Norwegian Viva is bigger and holds fewer passengers, I found the ship to feel more crowded. This is a common complaint with Norwegian’s Prima Class, prompting the cruise line to design the upcoming Prima Class ships to be 10% bigger.

This sophisticated ship — the first in Celebrity’s Edge class — changed the game following its 2018 debut. Ahead, we’ve listed every Celebrity ship currently in service — complete with their notable amenities, launch year, guest capacity, and other need-to-know insights — to help you determine which vessel is best for your next voyage. To start, Celebrity Ascent has four main dining rooms, each with its own themed decor. The snazzy ship also has four complimentary casual dining venues, including the Spa Cafe, Eden Cafe, Oceanview Cafe Buffet, and Mast Grill. I’d argue that Celebrity Ascent has one of the best buffets at sea with a wide variety of high-quality cuisine, tall ceilings, and trendy decor. Perhaps with more time onboard or if I had booked the Free at Sea package, I would have considered splurging on a specialty restaurant.

Staterooms

Cruise lines always look for ways to bring bold technology, innovation, and onboard thrills to their newest cruise ships. Comparing Celebrity Ascent and Norwegian Viva is a little difficult, as Norwegian’s newest ship caters to a wider demographic. Regardless, both of these new cruise ships had impressive technology and innovation onboard. Norwegian Viva has a few more bars and lounges onboard compared to Celebrity Ascent. I was surprised by how many bars and lounges were onboard, each with its own unique ambiance. In particular, Norwegian Viva has many outdoor bars and lounges for guests to enjoy.

On a brighter note, we made our way to the top deck while looking for the Oceanview Cafe buffet for lunch. The Solarium is a signature venue on both Celebrity and Royal Caribbean ships. We tried two martinis tonight before dinner, including a cream-based white chocolate drink and an apple butterscotch martini.

Celebrity Beyond also has 179 more cabins than its sister vessels, each of which has 1,467 cabins. That's up from a 2,910-passenger capacity at double occupancy for Celebrity Apex and a 2,908-passenger capacity at double occupancy for Celebrity Edge. The last two ships in the series currently on order, Celebrity Ascent and an as yet unnamed sister vessel, are due in December 2023 and sometime in 2025, respectively.

No cruising experience is complete without a drink in hand while watching the sunset! Both of these brand-new ships have more bars and lounges than I can count. There always seemed to be another fun spot to grab a drink on both cruise ships, most with distinct menus and unique designs. It’s tough to declare one cruise ship better than the other, as Celebrity Ascent has 14 different cafes, bars, and lounges onboard while Norwegian Viva has 18 different bars and lounges onboard. On board our luxury cruise ships, dine on world-class cuisine in elegant restaurants.

From full-length Broadway musicals to immersive theatrical performances, there should be no shortage of awe-inspiring entertainment on a new cruise ship. Both cabins were beautifully designed with light woodwork, ensuring the staterooms did not feel dark or cramped. I also noticed how each stateroom had more outlets for charging devices than any other ship I’ve sailed on. This was especially appreciated on Norwegian Viva since there were three of us traveling together.

This class premiered in 2018 with Celebrity Edge and it’s a class that Celebrity is still building out. The next Edge-class ship, Celebrity Apex debuted in 2020 and Celebrity Beyond debuted in 2022, with two more ships slated to join the class later. Celebrity Ascent will take to the high seas in 2024, with another, unnamed ship to follow in 2025. However, there are 16 total ships in the fleet to choose from, when you book your next cruise. If you don’t already have a favorite among the Celebrity Cruises ships (or if it’s your first-time cruising with Celebrity ever), which should you go with? There’s also the Magic Carpet – a protruding space that changes purpose throughout the cruise, and rises between the decks to offer amazing views from the ship.

On a Disney cruise, the snacks and pastries you'll see in the coffee shop or kiosk are all included, but the specialty coffee will cost extra. Drink prices are roughly similar to Starbucks, if not a notch lower. Be sure and ask for the Cafe Fanatic card if you're a regular, as your sixth drink will be free. How do I save money on a Disney cruise?

Instead, you’ll either pay per drink or purchase bundled quantities onboard. It’s also possible to purchase a specialty beer mug at the pub onboard, which can then be refilled across the ship. Much like Disney’s popcorn buckets, your beer mugs entitle you to cheaper refills on all your beer. In addition, the Disney Wish has all the regular amenities you’d expect on a Disney cruise, including live entertainment, pools and spacious staterooms. You don’t, for example, need to pay extra for soft drinks on a Disney cruise like you would on Norwegian Cruise Line.

Book Your Disney Cruise Today

Even without an all-inclusive drink package, you can save money on drinks on a Disney cruise. These are our six tried-and-true tips for ordering fun cocktails and specialty beverages for less. To book before boarding your cruise, go to Disney's onboard gifts webpage and choose the beer or wine package that works for you. According to Disney Cruise Line, most of the items can be delivered to your cabin on embarkation day, but you can also choose to have them delivered to a dining room to enjoy at dinner. If you're looking for a Disney cruise drink package, you might be disappointed.

That same cruise during spring break can cost double or more, so the more date flexibility you have, the better. For an additional fee, Disney ships offer full-service laundry and dry cleaning services that will pick up and deliver clean clothes to your cabin. If you are on a ship that charges by day instead of by the amount of data used, expect the prices to vary from $12-$36 per day, depending on the speed you select. There are often discounts for buying Wi-Fi access for the length of the cruise.

You can choose from seven different beers, including Blue Moon, Corona and Heineken, and each comes in a six-pack for the price of five beers at $36.25. Wine lovers don't have the option of an all-inclusive drinks package, but they can take advantage of discounted pricing for pre-purchasing wine bundles. Disney Cruise Line says the packages offer a 25% savings over ordering bottles a la carte on board.

Who goes on Disney cruise ships?

The base fare for these trips includes almost everything, so if you’re looking to drop the cost of a Disney cruise, consider avoiding add-ons. This means skipping out on things like wine tastings and specialty drinks as well as forgoing dinner at Palo, the adults-only Italian restaurant that comes with additional costs. Most of your daily expenses, including your food and non-alcoholic beverages, are included when sailing on a Disney cruise.

Save with the Disney Cruise Line beer mug

If your cruise takes you to Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, you're in luck, as there's plenty of included food to eat there, too. You'll see jackets and dresses in Palo, but you can also get by with nice jeans if you want. At the top of the "costs extra" list are the restaurants Palo (found on all five ships, though it's Palo Steakhouse on Disney Wish), Remy (on Dream and Fantasy) and Enchante (only on Disney Wish). A pro-level hack is to get Mickey churro waffles from the buffet in the morning (only available some mornings) and add vanilla ice cream for a vacation-worthy breakfast. And you haven't lived until your kids learn how to call and order free Mickey ice cream bars to the cabin ... Each night, your tablemates and servers will move from one restaurant to the next as a team.

While the three previously mentioned kids clubs are free and do not require reservations, the nursery operates differently. You will need to make reservations, and the fee is $4.50 per half-hour for the first child and $4 per half-hour for each additional child. The Senses Spa & Salon is a full-service spa with everything from massages to pedicures and hair care.

You'll have to get yourself back home from that port, but you may save on the cruise in the process. Ships also provide 24-hour, self-service guest laundry facilities equipped with washers and dryers, along with detergent and complimentary ironing equipment. These services can get busy during sea days on longer cruises, so plan accordingly. Little cruisers can be transformed into a princess or pirate at sea at the onboard Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, which does themed kid makeovers and sells costumes as part of the package.

Southern California residents (ZIP codes to 93599) sometimes qualify for special rates on select sailings on Disney Cruise Line. Walt Disney World Annual Passholders sometimes qualify for special rates on select sailings on Disney Cruise Line. European (EEA) residents sometimes qualify for special rates on select sailings on Disney Cruise Line. Canadian residents sometimes qualify for special rates on select sailings on Disney Cruise Line. The most convenient way is by using a credit card that’ll wipe away your travel costs. Plenty of cards have this feature, but two fairly decent ones are the Bank of America® Premium Rewards® credit card and the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card.

Complete the day watching Disney Enchantment; a nighttime spectacular with stunning fireworks and Disney music. Disney Cruise Line is offering an expanding summer program in 2024, with ships serving destinations in North America and Europe. If you want to try something new or feel adventurous one evening, the Sommelier Bin is a great way to sample wine at a discounted price. All drinks that you are bringing with you must be put in your carry-on bag. If you accidentally pack these drinks in your checked luggage, they will be removed and not returned, even at the end of the sailing. If you're a hard seltzer fan, you can also order a six-pack of Truly pineapple or wild berry for $32.50.
